Green Alchemy was pleased to join the Santa Clara University Solar House team as they constructed a beautiful solar powered home for the Solar Decathlon competition hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy.  Focusing on the ‘marketability’ category of the contest Green Alchemy chose plantings that would give the house a welcoming and sustainable appearance.
The judges noted that the public found the SCU house to be comfortable and that they could see themselves living in it.  SCU placed third in the competition.
